An original background color concept from the Warner Bros. Studios animated series, "Tiny Toon Adventures" (1990-1994). Featuring an abstract rendering of orange and green that resembles dramatic lighting and fireworks, the hand-painted concept art was created at the studio by legendary artist and animator Walt Peregoy. The painting was used during the story development process of one of the four episodes he worked on, possibly as the lighting in the boxing sequence of "The Return to the Acme Acres Zone." The concept was used to develop and finalize the color palette, layout of the action, and the overall feel of the scene. When a color concept is finalized during production, it becomes the reference tool that animators use to paint cels and backgrounds, as well as to further progress through the storyboarding and layout of the individual scenes. Measuring 8.5"x30" overall, with the image itself measuring 6.5"28", the painting is in very good condition with slight discoloration, minor paint, edge, and corner wear.
